Adobe Sendnow

A service from Adobe (in the style of dropbox but not requiring an installation of anything) is called Adobe Sendnow. It allows you to upload files and have a link sent to your recipient. Even better it cleans up afterwards.

So about Sendnow – which you get at https://sendnow.acrobat.com/welcome.html

  • Adobe SendNow supports a broad range of file types from CAD files to ZIP files to Microsoft Office documents. Currently, Adobe SendNow supports audio and video in PDF documents, but it does not support native audio and video files.

You cannot use Adobe SendNow to send the following file types: audio formats (MP3, AAC, OGG); video formats (MOV, WMV, FLV, XVID, DIVX, RETG); font formats (TTF, DFONT, OTF); archive formats (TGZ, RAR 7Z, SIT, JAR, WAR, CAB); system files and executable formats (EXE, DLL, JS, VB, BAT, CMD, COM, CPL, SH, CSH, TCSH, KSH, BASH, ZSH, INF, HTA, HLP, INS, ISP, VB, JSE, LNK, MS, PIF, SCR, SHS, WS); web files (CHM, CRT); database files (MDB); or raster image files (PCD, SCT).

  •

You can use the free account to test out the capabilities – just enter your details and a few moments later you are good to go

  • With Adobe SendNow, you can easily send large files to others. When you click “Send Now”, you upload your file to our secure server. We then notify your recipient that it’s ready to download. Your recipient can click on a link within the email to download the file.

Adobe SendNow subscribers can access their previously sent files at any time by logging into the service. Any sent file can then be deleted and recipients will no longer be able to download it. At the free subscription level, all sent files are stored for 7 days. With a premium subscription, sent files are stored for a number of days that is configurable by the sender.
