From yesterday at 5 it appears that Virgin Media have had an internet and TV outage. It turned out to be a strange incident with a combination of traffic light failures, power outages and Virgin service failures. I must confess it was a bizarre sight watching heavy – fast moving – dual carriageway traffic slowing at junctions and negotiating with conflicting traffic for right of way.
The worrying fact was that according to Virgin the outage started at 11:19PM and is due to be resolved at 9:00 AM. Where were they for the 6 hours before ? Did it take 6 hours before someone got through and told them that the service was down ? Don’t think so…….
Lets hope they can get this resolved fairly quickly and put in a decent monitoring system to tell them when their customers are really off.
