I thought I would mention a useful looking piece of software called Cocoon. Its a safety oriented Firefox browser add-on and its free.
The developers describe it as

You will need to supply your email address and when the email authorisation comes through sign up to get an account. You will then need to launch firefox and get the add-on installed
