As mentioned here the use of domsql to provide sql access to notes data and other datasources is very useful. Most programmers don’t like reporting or at least writing the reports so how about empowering the users to do it. Well in the same vein as Crystal Reports has been for so many years – combining Domsql and another tool called BIRT which you can get from here. This gives you the opportunity to present readonly data which the user can then manipulate and present. This also means a chance to let them reuse those Crystal report skills that they spent time working to learn – in another role.
