The trouble with progress is that it sometimes comes with thorns. In the case of the lovely new retina screen for the IPAD the devil is in the resolution and the space needed to hold the higher quality images and video supported by the screen.
Already we are seeing apps doubling or trebling in size to show off the screen with the result that users are having to carefully review whats on their IPad just to be able to get the latest release of apps such as Pages or Keynote which have exploded in size.
Its definitely a turning point for buyers of Ipads and especially those with their eye on the IPAD3 (or IPAD 2012 if you prefer). Think carefully about the space requirements of the applications you already have or intend to get as this may dictate the entry point of capacity that you need.
