This was another little windows 8 oddity after having set up a local user and some apps before setting up a domain user as the main user on a Windows 8 professional install on XPS 12. It seems that if an app is customised or has some settings entered then when you attempt to do the same as the domain user it throws the error above with Error Code: 0x800700b7
Solution – remove and reinstall the apps as the doain user = In my case the apps were Skype and Kindle apps from the windows 8 store. Now I can enjoy my kindle purchase on the tablet also.
