There is a scandal with software companies who think that with Geolocation they can stick the arm in for UK customers. Adobe for one ! Go on their web site (US) – find a product or upgrade and try to buy it. When something that was 399 dollars becomes 399 pounds on the UK site – you really smell a rat. How can all these other companies that we buy from seem to be able to transact in dollars with the appropriate currency conversion – and be able to present an invoice with the currency conversion details on it for accounting purposes. Add to that the big rush in companies to charge Euro prices over the last few years makes the UK buyer an easy target for software price hikes for no reason.
Time we got some rebalancing or I think we will all have US/UK and Euro zone buying persona in the future to hedge us from these scams.
