At the end of play last night I set about downloading the iso images for Windows 8 Community Preview. Together the 32 and 64 bit variants are around 5GB. This morning I fired up VMware workstation 8 and created a new VM with Windows 7 32Bit as the OS type.
Now about 30 minutes later I am posting from within the VM as the first thing I do on Windows 8. Say hello to the latest OS kid on the block. More exploring to do but so far so good.
This is going to be a big departure from what user are used to but the next few weeks will allow early adopters to get a good look and kick the tyres. Next task is to get my HP tablet back into action and get Windows 8 on to it to really try out the touch interface.
