While away on leave I noticed that WordPress had released two updates – so one of this mornings tasks is to update the blog with these latest revisions.
Specifically WordPress 2.8.2 fixes an XSS vulnerability. Comment author URLs were not fully sanitized when displayed in the admin. This could be exploited to redirect you away from the admin to another site.
So remember the adage “Patch Early – Patch Often”
