Having recently changed to a I7 E7440 Dell ultrabook – I was surprised when working in IBM Notes that when I went to look for the Break key to execute CTRL Break – there was no Break key on the keyboard. As long time users of Notes know – the Ctrl Break sequence allows long searches to be terminated especially when using full text searching. So I had to find an alternative key sequence to get my Ctrl Break back and I found it under the guise of Ctrl FN Pause !!
On the Latitude the FN key is shown in Blue beside the Ctrl and the Pause is in blue underneath the Insert legend on the Insert key.
Testing confirms that it works and I hope that will help some else looking for the “missing” break key.
