While extracting a vmware machine image downloaded from the web – I was greeted by an error message that would be pretty impressive if true. The error during unzipping – “There is not enough space on the local disk . You need an additional 734 PB to copy these files.”
Okay 734 Petabytes ? Thats 751616 Terabytes or 250538 * 3TB drives. If you took a current cost of £100 for a drive (ignoring the hardware needed to connect the drives together) thats £2,505,380.
So to unzip this file I need to invest 2.5 million in drive space. Think I will just download it again
