This was a question asked by a client for one of Draytek’s 2850N routers. I remembered that on the router there was a list of the supported routers but after checking it I realised – its very out of date. A quick email to Seg – the UK distributor of Draytek equipment elicited a link to the last list which gives a breakdown by usb device by model of router !!! Here is the link correct as of 13th January 2016.
So why would you want this ? Perhaps as a backup to an existing adsl / fttc or fibre connection to the Net or increasingly to use the wifi only services provided by Three and other networks that mean you can save on the line rental cost of a broadband connection.
In this case the combination of router 2850N and Alcatel Y855 isn’t supported – so its either replace the router or the USB 4G box.
